whats up everyone
I have two catfish (wish I knew the breed tho cuz I love them) which I think are nocturnal but not sure. the rest of my fish are diurnal. how bad is it to only feed my fish when the light is on? they come out to eat but it seems like they don't like it. I just want to make sure they get enough food.
thanks

90%+ sure it's an eclipse catfish, I could w wrong though. I don't know anything about them though, just know what they look like

You would be better if you could feed them at night after the lights are off.

thanks. so should I just feed all my fish when the lights are out?

I would say no, feed your daytime fish during the day and nighttime fish at night. Different fish have different needs and we all have to cater to them

o ok thanks. i'm just worried about over feeding but i'll watch it.

Are you worried about your other fish over eating or having left over food in the tank?

Try feeding smaller amounts once right after you turn the lights on, and once after you turn out the lights.
