Filter Advice

Hi all, I have had my tank running with an internal filter for some time but installed a Fluval 205 external nearly a month ago - the water tests ok at the moment - how long would you wait to remove the internal filter and would you swop the ceramic media from the internal to the external ?? Any advice welcome.

A month is more than enough to remove the other filter. As far as the media goes it doesn't make a difference since the Fluval is seeded. The other option is just leave it there that way if a QT tank is needed you already have the filter ready.
