New aquarium owner. I bought a Petco Arc 6.25 G tank a few weeks back. Been doing regular water changes, etc. Trying to be a responsible steward. Was thinking it was time to change the filter cartridges/sponge. How often do you do that?
To the extent it is time -- and I've been looking like it is -- I have had serious difficulty figuring out what cartridges/sponge to get as replacements. Have called Petco. Have gone to stores. It's a new item and no one seems to know what to use.
Measurements I got were 9x3x1/2. The filter cartrdges are plastic-framed with pellet-type objects behind a white permeable cover. They slide into grooves in the filter area.
