What is a good canister filter for a 40g

I use a fluval 305 on my 40 breeder.

You will get several different answers for this question, so here is mine. Rena Filstar XP II, or III would do a good job for you, and they are easy to service

I rock the Eheim 2215 canister filter. It's a classic that has no equal!

Eheim 2217 on my 40 breeder. Its about perfect.

Hey Chem how often do you clean your Eheim?

About once every three months or so. Sooner if I notice decreasing flow or suspect a problem.
