filter quit

after my filter quit i took it out of the tank for several days .got it fixed now do i need to get new biowheel and filters to put back in it or can i rinse these and reuse them

if there all dryed out i would prob replace them !! if ya cleaned them good and then let them dry imo ya could reuse them

imo it doesnt matter due to the bacteria is all dead anyway so its like starting a new filter/bio wheel !! so i would use tap water clean it as good as ya can !!

Toss the filter, but keep the bio wheels. as long as they spin they are fine.

What kind of tank is this? If you have LR I would skip the bio wheel but if it's an integral part of the filtration system then you may need to use it. I would first clean it well in some plain RO water if it's been out of use for a few days. The filter media should just be replaced. I would not take chances with old media that may foul the water quality.
