Fin repair?

What medications, foods, minerals promote the best fin growth. One of the older fish in my tank, has some beat up fins.

Melafix helps. But go easy on it and have carbon on hand to remove it when you are done treating him. I suggest treatment in quarantine if possible.

Also in addition to melafix, pristine water conditions are the best way to treat fin damage.

Water is great. However these are old wounds, and I have seen any luck in quite awhile. Think it might be depression as well, her mate died. Don't know tbh I'll try the melafix in a qt tank. Thx guys

Got a question. Because the filter in the qt tank is got charcoal in it. Should I take it out while fish is being treated? Otherwise I think it my take all the treatment out, before actually treating the fish.

yes take the charcoal out in QT. I meant keep the water in the QT pristine while treating.

Just ordered some melafix off Ken's Fish website. Along with some cichlid pellets and bloodworms... such spoiled fish,
