Got my new tripod in today, so naturally, I had to try it out.

I think I'm going to be picking up some new frags this weekend... so I won't be spamming yall with the same old pics every day haha.

I've been using a tripod for the last week or so... I just didn't like it... So I got a new one. These pictures definitely aren't as good... the pumps were running and they are slightly out of focus.

Thanks guys for the compliments :)

I have to make a decision now.... to buy a 20 long to replace the current 20 long that is the refugium... or use the 29 I have. It'll fit.. but barely. I think I'd have to install a bulkhead to flow in to it though. I cracked the tank while doing a water change today.... hit the pipe (that was stupidly unsupported) and put a crack across the end. It's not leaking (yet), so I have *some* time... but I need to move on it pretty quick to avoid any sort of disaster. At least, if something smelly does hit the fan, the sump below should catch the majority of the water.

Sorry to hear about your tank mishap, it happens though....at least you have time and options to replace it. :)

Ehh, it is what it is. I'm not sure what I'm going to do honestly. I was already considering using the refugium as a frag tank, so maybe this'll make it easier... if I can find a shallow acrylic tank that has the same footprint as the 20 long (since I am NOT re-doing the stand). If not, I guess I just need to decide whether I want to replace the 20 long with another 20 long, or use a 29 instead. Hmmm...

I would go with the easy way and just replace the 20L with a 20L. LOL Do you have the room underneath for the height of a 29g?

I'd be inclined to go with the 20l then. 2" isn't a whole heck of a lot of space. Plus you never know what you will be doing with it in the future and that 2 inches might come back to bite you one day. :)

And.. in case anyone is interested... my setup.

Canon T3i, 100mm F/2.8 USM Canon Macro Lens, Battery Grip, Manfrotto 055 X Pro B legs, Vanguard SBH-250 Head. I don't typically keep the tripod in this configuration, but it does work well for getting shots from the side since there are stairs about a foot on the right side of the tank.

Cannon cameras all the way!! We have three here at my house. Would never settle for anything else after using them.
