I saw a post recently on this and I am having some similar problems....a very fine light brown powder settles at the bottom of my sump. I have a filter sock in-line with my overflow box. Is this just the nasty stuff that is being overflowed...detritus maybe? My question is what might eat this?(rather than me trying to siphon it all out at PWC's) maybe some Astrea snails? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks
