First fish

I was recently given a 54g saltwater tank and have just finished cycling it. I was curious as to what kind of fish were the easiest to start off with. Want to make sure I don't get something difficult to take care of and kill it right away lol.

Research the fish from several sources before you buy (post a question for identification if you are uncertain).

I'd avoid YT Damsels. Evil buggers that will never die, and from what I've seen, most LFS will NOT take them back. And they don't play nice with others when you want to expand.

I started mine with some blue devil fijis and some yellow tail damsels. They didn't seem to mess with my other fish, as I added new ones to my tank. However, Neon Damsels will wreak HAVIC on your fish and almost anything else in your tank. Real bullies those things are.

I was curious before I recommend anything if this will be reef tank?

Yes I would like to turn it into a reef tank in the future but it will be awhile until I have the cash for the lights needed
