First tank ever (well almost)

here is the first first tank its a 1.5 gallon tank for my 5 yr old

and here is my first ever tank(29g) in its beginning stages i only have one plant so far but am planning on filling in the tank nicely before its over.
Stock list includes so far: 8 pristella tetras, 3 leapord corys, 1 albino BN pleco.
Do you think my drift wood takes up to much tank i really like the way it looks but am not sure if it matters about how big it is?

thanks mumma i actually was looking around my some what local fish store (1.5hr away) and found some little fish i really like. do you know anything about Apisto. Cacatuoides they run about 29.99 a pair. and are farely small and have awesome colors. im not sure if my tank is suitable enough for these or not but id really like some

I don't know much about them other than they are cichlids, aka 'cockatoo' cichlids and are absolutely stunning! I think they might get 5 inches but that's probably completely wrong. I'm sure someone else will know :)

You could attach the java fern to your dw,the roots are meant to obtain their nutrients via the water column..

my java moss you can see I separated and stuck in three wholes in my drift wood

my wisteria I split into the two back to corners, and java fern in front of that.

I put my java fern babys in a whole in the far right of my drift wood, my banana plant, and anubias nana right in front .....I can't wait to hear what y'all think its my first tank so hopefully I ain't messing up to bad
