What is the fish capacity of a 75 gallon tank? I read on a calculator it was 15 inches of adult length. If one stocks a tang at 8" and 2 clowns at 3.5" am I mistaken to believe this would tap out its capacity?

You can't really go by the inch per gallon rule. A lot depends on your set up and how the tank can handle the fish load. A 75 with 75lbs plus of LR will be able to handle a larger fish load then a tank with lets say 30-40 lbs of lr. Running a refugium to help remove nitrates will also allow for a larger fish load.
The fish rule is a good guide line but it is not set in stone. JMO..

I agree w/seaham, but if you are only looking to stock a total of three fish, even that size, you probably will be ok. I have never owned a tang, so some one else might have better avdice/experience.
