Hi everyone! Making my first question post now. I have a forty gal tall that has been up and running for about five years now. I have two redtail sharks two kissing gouramis and two giant danios. I want to add some new tankmates and was thinking about two clown loaches and maybe a few tiger barbs since my wife likes them. Would that be too many fish? Will they be o.k. together? Also I heard that I could put cichlids in too, but I am not so sure about that. Any help will be appreciated.

I think you're pretty well stocked already. Clown loaches will outgrow your tank and I don't think you have enough area for the sharks and loaches to get along. I'm not sure that tiger barbs would get along with kissing gouramis either.
