I am doing a Fishless Cycle on my new 36 gallon bow front. Can I put the frozen shrimp in a floss bag to rot.

In a 36g 1 would work, 2 won't hurt especially if they're small.

i was told long ago once they rot it can help your cycle so i always rolled with it i seed from my old tanks put a few flakes in and my tank cycles in 5 days 7 at the most

Will the floss bag hurt ?

I don't see any reason why a floss bag would hurt. I've never done a fishless cycle with shrimp before, but seed material is generally put in a nylon sock...

I can't see why floss bags would be much different.

Nope, just make sure the mesh is loose enough to allow water to flow thru it. Stockings work great, just wash/rinse it in really hot water first.
