What size tank is he in (five gallon???). What are the water parameters?

Yes he's in a 5 gallon...and ammonia is like.03 since a new kahuli loach came in ph is 8 and nitrates and nitrites are good

Are you testing with strips or a liquid test kit? What are the nitrites and nitrates?

In that size tank the platy could be easily stressed because there's not enough swim room for either the platy or khuli so I'd suggest a ten gallon tank and upwards.

Ok and I have a bubbler...is it normal for bubbles to gather at the top?
