Can I fill this tank to the top seeing as it has an opening on top ? Or should I be leaving a gap like now? Thank you

A gap is probably the best I have a lid on my tank nd I don't fill it completely

With the egde there designed to be filled all the way up to the top for an increased viewing angle and clearer view from above. The only time I wouldn't fill it up is if you have a labyrinth fish like a betta or gourami in there that needs to breathe air.

Or a dwarf frog? I know frogs need air and he does swim to the top to catch a breath, your advice is greatly appreciated

I don't know much about dwarf frogs but they would need the space left to get air aswell then
