Found a piece of driftwood!

Ok so i was walking down the crek by my house today and i found a nice piece of driftood. Can i use this? And if so how do i prepare it for my tank?

Yes, soak it totally submerged in scalding hot water for 24 hours, change the water and add a cup of salt per gallon, too much is OK, and repeat. Then just soak and change water until water is clear for one day.

I do it all the time.

I'm going to try this, I always come across driftwood and been to scared to put it in my tank, is there any type of wood to avoid like poisonous etc??
