I've always cleaned my tank once a week - water change, wiping the inside of the tank, take out the dead leaves, etc. and my barbs were always OK with my arm going near them. They were actually quite playful, trying to bite my freckles thinking it was food, curious about all the gravel movement on the vacuum, etc.
But latelly they seem to be super scared of me - they seem to feel cornered (even when my arm is far from them) and panic trying to swimm against the gravel, glass, etc. I wonder why that is happening now... My guess is that they are reaching reproductive maturity, thus this "increased" fear is instinct of survival to breed?
Ideas, anyone?
