Freshwater stingrays

I went to my lfs yesterday and they had a huge stingray tank. It was salt water. I have seen freshwater stingrays but never in an aquarium. Ive seen them on tv in the nile river. But is there any small stingrays that could go into say a 40 gal tank happily?

Sadly no . Even for a teacup stingray they would need a 180 gallon tank. I would get one if i had a tank that size. Ive also heard that they are extremly hard to take care of.

I have a 180 gallon and almost got one when I started this tank. After doing more research a 180 gallon is only the starting point they really need a bigger tank.
