Will it be ok to keep a frontosa with the following. They are in a 142g

Yellow lab x1
Cobalt blue zebra x2
Electric blue hap x1
Malawi eye biter x1
Giraffe cichlid x1
Red zebra x3
Blue dolphin x2
Pleco x2
Red peacock x1
Trophies sp red x2

I have kept frontosa with Malawi cichlids and would recommend against it. Frontosa are very calm placid fish and I found they got stressed with the hyper malawis.

No problem, FYI frontosa are awesome, if you want them get a big tank and get a colony going. I have 13 juveniles ranging from 2-4 inches and they are awesome fish.

Well I have a big tank but I don't want any fish to suffer unnecessarily .It's a shame as he was a beautiful looking big boy.Nose to tail about 5"

Sweet, that's not even big, they can reach 16" I have plans in place to get a nice 200 or more gallon for my fronts

I put my first frontosa in with my mbunas and where the others went crazy eating the frontosa hung back. She didn't get a morsel of food for about a week, poor girl. My frontosas now have their own tank. Some people mix them and get away with it, but I too advise against it.
