I was really happy a few weeks ago to see a few fry swimming in my tank. I'm not sure if they're Mollies or Platies, i've got adult females of both varieties in the tank.
Anyway, I was pruning the plants when i saw a Platy race up behind a cute little fry and gulp it down. I know that's nature, but I was pretty disappointed.
Does anyone know of a way to help keep them alive until they're too big to be eaten by their tankmates? I can't set up a separate tank, but any other options would be appreciated?
Also, does anyone know how long it should take for fry to grow to a safe size?
