Fry gone!! :(

After the exciting (and traumatic) discover of my convict's free swimming fry by lifting her cave when doing a cleaning, I have now discovered they're gone. I hadn't seen them at all and wondered if they were growing. I shooed her away and looked in her cave, nothing! Not even eggs. Her colors are very vibrant though so I'm wondering if they may be "trying" again. This was her first litter in the tank with a new mate. I read that sometimes they do that the first couple times.

Stress can also cause the fry to disappear. I would not look in her cave too often.
