That's what I'll do thanks. I'll just get the one pair. If there is only the pair of GBRs will they fry live?

Depends on the parents and their instincts. If they don't feel threatened and get through the initial "eat ALL the eggs" phase all new pairs go through then they should protect the fry. If they feel overcrowded, hungry, or if there are tankmates a little too nosy, they may eat the fry. They usually have pretty decent parental instincts once they get to the wrigglers stage though.
