Goldfish General

Goldfish aren't especially sensitive to soft water but probably would prefer it towards the harder side. If your water isn't extremely soft it should be ok. If you decide to use any additives to raise the GH and KH be sure and do it slowly. Do you know what your ph is?
 
We have a couple common goldfish or koi, not sure what, that were in the horse trough when we moved in. There is currently, I would say 6 inches of ice on the top. Still swimming around. We never feed them. This summer when we moved in, I think there was enough bugs and stuff for them to eat. We did offer them pond fish pellets (floating) and they never touched them. Goldfish are incredible fish.
 
Yea my ph is at about 7 after using a little baking soda and i just found out epson salt raises gh so i did that its working good
