Your tank is going to go through an ugly stage like everyone elses on this forum. There's no way around it. The first type of coverage you are going to see is a diatom explosion on the surfaces. If you have no corals you can limit the amount of time that the light is on. Fish only need to see to eat, and ambient lighting from the room is plenty, until the tank settles in. This may keep the uglies from getting out of hand, but ultimately, there's no way of getting around it.
As for your question, no- you do not need to be concerned.
