Finally got the 240g up and running yesterday. All plants and fish moved over from my old 125g setup. Took the whole day! I'm loving the new driftwood, each piece is almost 4 feet long!

Tank stats: 8ftx2ftx2ft = 240gallons
Filtration: 60gallon wet/dry sump
CO2 injection
EI dosing with dry ferts
(2) 72" 10K LED fixtures from BuildmyLED
12 adult and subadult discus
3 bolivian rams
2 german blue rams
6 sterbai cories
6 juvenile roseline sharks (more on order)
3 juvenile albine bushynose plecos
1 juvenile clown pleco
1 bamboo shrimp

Must... get... more... plants! =)
Really hoping the moss will take off and cover the driftwood pieces.

That is stunning! Praises to you for keeping discus!

Oh jeez.

Well, just 24hours later, and I've already found my first passenger to ride the overflow waterfall slide.

Was doing a quick eyeball of things and was rooting around in the sump, when I saw him swimming around the center chamber.

Which means he had to go through the overflow, down the drain, through the prefilter tray, through the bioball tower, then over two sump chambers. lol

Looks like I'll have to get some mesh to put over the overflow grills.

Impressive tank for sure. Nicely scaped!

Regarding the escapees in the overflow, I used a material called gutter guard (it's basically 1/4" or 1/3" stiff black plastic mesh) and cut it into 1" strips (however wide the overflow is). And then I weaved it through the teeth of the overflow in a zig zag pattern. It did a good job keeping the fish out.

That's what I intend to do. =)

Those darn kuhli loaches. haha

Updated shot after a recent water change. Tank has been up and running about 8 weeks now. Plant growth is exploding. Have had to hack em back several times now. =)

What type is the bright red discus? It's really cool!

Not sure which one you are referring to, so I included a closer grouped shot. :)

If you mean the deep red one (kinda facing the camera on the right), that's a San Merah.

The brigher orange ones(two on the bottom of the shot), with the slight white spots are Rafflesias.
