Just would like to know if somebody has tried this before.

How would grape vines work as driftwood? The wood is soft and the bark is quite streaky. But if the bark can be removed the wood makes some very interesting pieces.

The wood will break down faster then hard wood. Also heard that it leches a white fuzzy looking thing. The good news is that plecos will eat the white fuss that is just sugar coming out of the wood. So you can use it but it will geek down faster.

In the end I decided against it. Didn't know what pesticides were used and didn't want to take the chance.

But it was sold as bbq wood next to the road for next to nothing and the dramatic shapes would really look awesome in a tank.
