So after about a week and a half with a 15% change, willow branches, and purchase of a water wisteria plant and moss ball, the water has cleared up the green for the most part. Tank is just a little cloudy right now though.

Try willow shoots like gotgutz did. The stems shouldn't interfere with your intake. When i did it i used weeping willow. 2 bundles of it about 6" in diameter and it cleared up my 55gal. in 3days. 5-6 bundles worked on my one pond in less than a week and it was a nasty pea soup.
