Growing Balas

Hey, I got 2 Bala Sharks - both been alive for about.. 2 months? Anyway, they're currently about 2.5" and living in a 25g tank.

I have a 78g that i intend to put them into, but I want to wait until the point where they're too big for my 25g. That way I can save up on some electricty bills and not have to setup the 78g until I need to. At what size should I move my Balas over? The 25g tank is about 30" long and 12" wide.

On a side note, I got an Eheim 2215 filter and it uses tubes to push water in and out. I also have a UV light that's making algae grow like crazy inside the tubes. Is there a way to clear algae out of tubes? I don't think Oto cats will fit inside, hehe. XD

a toothbrush will clean out the tube.. as far as the bala's.. depends on how fast you want them to grow.. you put them in the 78g.. it will let them grow out faster. I would def. move themout after about 4" though.

I guess I can clean out half of my tubes -.- they're kind of long.
Anyway, thanks on the advice~ I think i'll move them out next month

you can go get pipe cleaners too.. just thought lol
