Growing Ludwigias emersed

I would like to grow both L. repens and L. glandulosa in emersed form. I want to plant them by a small pond by my house. What is the best way to go from submersed to emersed growth? I was thinking about putting them in a deep pot or something filled with water and set them in a window sill. Then let the water slowly evaporate. Would that work?

i think the best way would be to let them grow out of your aquarium. mine will grow compleltly out of the aquarium if i dont trim it. just let it go then transport it over. but then again i have never grown anything emersed lol.
