I was wondering if theres any special way of growing rotala emersed? Maybe spraying with water everyday? Also, how should I hold it up out of the tank? thanks!

I think you can plant them in a container with substrate (dirt is good), spray them down, and cover with plastic wrap to hold the moisture in. Put them under a light. There are several tutorials and methods for this, do a quick google search. This is just the gist of what I've seen. And yeah I think rotala does fine emersed like most aquatic plants.
