Hard Water

My tap water after sitting for 24 hours is as follows:

ph = 8.2
gh = 12 dkh
kh = 15 dkh

Is this water going to be ok if I get African Cichlids? Wondering if I need an RO system?

They will be fine

The rift lakes of Africa where most of the common African cichlids come from are very hard and alkaline so your water will be perfect.

Some West African cichlids come from softer more acidic waters so these would struggle in your waters. Most of these are fairly uncommon though.
