Welcome to the forum! Btw... I hate Houston! Lol, I passed through a few months back and got terribly lost for like 3 hours and someone ran a red and hit me and left the scene. Bent my rear axle, and I still had to make it to Austin and back. I have quite a few friends there, though.
Also, I would upgrade to more than a 55 if I were you. Te general rule for fancy goldfish is 20 gallons for the first fish and 10 more for each after that, but that applies best for young fish. They will eventually outgrow those "requirements" as they can get huge. If you have common or comet goldfish, a very large tank or pond will be required. There is a great sticky on the coldwater section of the forum showing just how big fancy goldfish can get.
