Help!! Blue Ram

Hello. I checked on my fish today and one of my blue rams is really dark colored and has a white fuzzy spot right near its pooper. I have two blue rams and the other one is still pretty normal looking. This 80 gallon tank has been up and running a long time with weekly water changes 20-50%. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. And also it's belly seems to be turning red.

He's got an fungal infection i would treat with anti fungal meds. They can be bought at petsmart and then just follow the directions.

Listen to TCC, basically can give you any info you need in cichlids and your silly not to listen to TCC. I agree with his advice.

Awesome thank you. Should I setup a 5 gall hospital tank? Should he be seperated from the rest?

If it is contagious it probably has already spread IMO! so just treat the whole tank i would say. Im not to sure on medicine types sorry maybe TCC could help

Treat the whole tank since you have other fish and melafix won't work. Pimafix will work though.

Thanks for all the help. The lfs is an hour away so I was just going to treat with some melafix I had here but sounds like I'm taking the drive, wouldn't hurt to have meds around anyway I suppose.

Aquarium salt, pimafix, and melafix are what most people will swear by. And number 1 clean water. That's will take care of all your problems IMO

I've successfully used a combo or maracyn and maracyn 2 to treat fungal issues as well.

Pimafix is great though and I'd try that first since it's easier on the BB in the tank. I use Pimafix now on all my QT tanks with new fish.
