Why would it be yellow? It doesn't get that color from missing a wc. Why take the fish out to clean? That's just gonna stress them out. Just do 75% wc and don't take the filter media out. Has this tank been cycled?

How are the fish?.. If there is no problem then do 30% water change a day for next three or four days. Should clear your water up.

ahh ok the fish are just fine so i will do a large water change next few days its just there is a bunch of crap at bottom in pebbles and i am waiting on paycheck to get vaccuum... so now that i have totally stressed them out (althought they are eating; thats probably them coping) shoud i put ythem back in the nasty water i just finished dredging all the crap from the bottom up (ugg so stupid) now my water is sooooo dark...

Do you have some type of dechlorinator? If you do then id do a 50% wc now then put them back.

Don't take the fish out to clean it, definitely invest in a gravel vac, and does the water have a funny smell? How often do you do water changes? Is the tank cycled? Have you put any new decor in there such as driftwood or used any meds recently? How big is the tank and what kind of stock are we looking at?

Yellowed water can be a result of a large amount of tannins from Driftwood, or even high-nitrates in the water. Do a large water change for sure. You might even be able to do a makeshift vacuum by using a small amount of cut garden hose and creating a mini-siphon.
