Turns out he mated with my electric yellow, I'm excited to see the babies. Is that a normal mixing? And did they cross Breed or from the same lake?

Cross breeding is any time a fish spawns with another species, doesn't matter what lake they are from. That will be an interesting fish though, is this the females first time? If so, odds are she will swallow them.

Yeah it is her first time. I just put her in a separate tank. I hopeing she doesn't swallow them, but I don't want to strip her either... And the thing about it is, I have no idea when she became pregnant but she spends all day moving around them eggs which is pretty cool its been 2 days since I noticed...
