Help identifying this plant

Hello:
I bought this stem plant in the LFS, they told me it was some kind of Bacopa, but I'm not really sure about that. Can anyone tell me the plant species?

Those stems are in rough shape, but it looks like elodea to me. Or lysimachia aurea.

Would any of those plants stand Rift Lake conditions? Since that tank will be my African Cichlid fry tank.
