So I'm about to use Kordons Ich Attack for my ich but do I have to remove my filter cartridge? Doesnt that remove all beneficial bacteria? And so wouldn't that kill my fish...?

You don't have to remove the filter cartridge as long as it's not carbon. And remove all carbon filtration. I suggest as well to increase the temperature to 82-86 degrees over 2-3days witch will be a double action against the ich. Watch out when using the medicine, as it might kill you're fish due to stress.
