I started my fishless cycle yesterday, with a seeded filter. After I added my ammonia source it said I had 1.5 ppm ammonia. 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate.
Today when I tested it said I had 0 ammonia. 0 nitrite, 0 nitrate.
Where did my ammonia go? It's only been 12 hours.
Is it cycled? Also it's heavily planted.

Dose it back up with ammonia, i'd be using more like 3ppm if i were you.

When ever my ammonia dropped i dosed it back up, i didn't even bother testing trites or trates for a week after i started my cycle..

I think live plants remove ammonia from the tank

Dose ammonia up to 4ppm. Yes plants use both ammonia and nitrates so depending on how densely planted the tank is and how many of the plants are fast growing stem plants will determine how quickly they will utilize ammonia.
