I got some slate to make a cave and got GE 1 silicone but the silicone says not to use in aquariums or below water. I thought this is what I was supposed to use

Not sure about that brand but u can pick up aquarium safe silicone at most fish stores might cost a lil more but ur guaranteed to get the right silicone so no mistakes and post pics of ur cave when ur done is like to see.. I just finished mine a couple days ago

Does it have mold or mildew inhibitors? All of them say not to use under water or in aquariums... it's a legal disclaimer so they aren't liable if something does happen... but as long as it is just silicone, it's fine.

Not slate but the same general idea
