Hi so I wanted to start a nano saltwater and just wanted to know if I were to use this live sand and some fully cultured live rock would I still need to cycle my tank?

Yes, you should still cycle your tank. And, depending on how long that sand has been bagged, without nutrient & oxygen sources, it's likely all of that "live bacteria" is long dead.

So instead of buying that

I'm better off with regular sand?

I would steer clear of regular sand.... most common sands have a high silica content, which is going to drive diatom algae like you wouldn't believe. I would still recommend the argonite, but I was just making the point that just because the bag says "LIVE", don't be duped into thinking you don't need to cycle.
