Help!!! Can someone tell me why Red Fin Shark keeps swimming in circles (Up and down, up and down........)?

Give us details.

Water perimeters (ammonia nitrites nitrates)
Tank size
Tank mates
When did you buy him
Is the tank cycled
Physical abuse (swollen gills, cuts on scales, etc)
Any chemicals around the tank

Good luck!

115 Gallon Tank

-Water perimeters:
pH - 7.6
Ammonia - 0.25
Nitrite - 0.25
Nitrate - 10

-Tank Mates:

1 common pleco
2 blood parrot
3 angels
4 clown loachs
6 ruby barbs (new addition)
1 black ghost knife (new addition)
1 goldfish (common)

-I've had him for aprox 6+ Months
-No physical abuse
-No Chemical near the tank

It looks like your aquarium is in the process of cycling, or going through a mini cycle.

Best you can do is keep doing pwcs until ammo is zero, and nitrate is zero. This probably means a few 50% pwcs a day, maybe less depending on your parameters. As long as you do this your shark will be fine.

+1

I am not sure if the tank has been cycled beforehand, but some waterchanges are your best bet on helping your RTS.

Looks like he's trying to escape the toxic environment...... :(

You've got some great species, must be a really interesting tank.

Thanks. I'll do more water changes and report back.
