Have 14 Angelfish in 120 gallon, along with 3 Frontosa, all get along great.
Bought 2 black ones 3 days ago at LFS, only one ate the second day, other sorta stayed by itself.
Today found that one dead, and the other with a little discoloration on sides and bulging eyes a bit. Assumed it was popeye disease in its infancy stage. Took fish out and put in its own ten gallon to monitor.
None of others show any signs of it and I read its not contagious. Treated ten gallong with 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salt for now.
I should have known better than to just put the new ones right into big tank, but they looked fine. However that store before has had problems and knowing that I should have quarantined for a bit.
Thankfully rest are all eating normal, rushing over to eat and acting normal. SO don't think anything else has it.
Any advice?
