how old should a tank be before putting a blonde naso in?

I put a regular Naso in a tank that was 4 months old and it is doing great 1.5 years in. The tank it went into was a 180g FO. I will tell you it took almost a week and a half to eat.

Most tangs are grazers and graze on algae growth on the live rock. You can supplement this so its not a huge issue.

I would probably QT it if you have the means to?

I would not add one very early. An established tank will help with grazing, which helps keep it happy. Also, newer tanks tend to take a while to really stabilize. Stress-free tangs are stronger, which helps with defending against Ich.

Week and a half? Take bigger bites. Lol. Jk.

I agree with Psychocircus91. They are beautiful but mainly because of the size the grow to and how they swim. You cant apreciate that in a tank of your size.

Go with a Kole tang!
