does anyone know how much instant ocean it takes to get 1 gallon of water to a specific gravity, or SG of 1.005-08 Trying to get my brackish tank set up right for my gsp thanks

Start off cycling your tank at whatever SG the GSPs are being kept at in the LFS you are purchasing them from (usually FW, 1.000). It takes a cup of salt/5g to raise the SG .005, but you need to raise it .002.weekly water change as to not dirstub the biological bed.

Actually, all your questions can be answered here: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/BrackishSubWebIndex/gspsart.htm
