Any advice on avoiding water to climb up the CO2 hose? My CO2 tank can take up to 20 minutes just pushing water out of the system before actually starting to difuse. As a matter of fact, all 3 tanks have fludded difusers....:(

I had this problem after my diffuser was months old and I turned my co2 up and killed half my fish. It was a holocaust. Killed some really nice discus and rainbow fish. I just got a new diffuser and it fixes it. I think change the diffusers every few months.

Yeah, you definitely need check valves in the system. Cheap and easy fix, should solve your problem. :)

What's a check valve? I have a bubble counter

It's a small valve that goes in line with your co2 setup. It's basically a small housing with a spring and piston inside that only allows air, or in this case, co2 to flow one way. It protects against siphoning tank water back in to your system, so it's usually placed between the bubble counter and diffuser.
