Hi,
I just needed some help with a cycling issue.
I set up my 55 gallon tank a week ago. I added some API quick start and put a filter cartridge from my old established tank into one of the new filters.
Today I tested the water with the API test kit.
I got 0 ppm for all of the following ammonia, nitrite and Nitrate.
My question is the tank ready for a few fish?
I have an Asian Algae eater who really needs to be moved in here first.
I was not sure of the correct time length involved to properly cycle a tank. Also by how much established filter media and quick start could reduce it by?
Thanks
