Help With Sand!!!!

I am about to put sand in a 29 gallon tank and am wondering where i can find pure white sand? or if regular play sand will turn white?

I believe you can use Pool filter sand... I've read a lot of people use it as a relatively inexpensive option for substrate. However, since my tanks are not that large, I use Caribsea Super Naturals white sand... but for a 29g, it might get a little pricey.

Agreed on the pool filter sand, play sand will not turn white

I love my play sand from Lowe's which is white. $7.18 for 100 pounds.

I got mine from a pool supply store. Sears also had it but I would have had to order it
