help with setting up fry tank

I have two pregnant mollies and I have a 10g not setup. Haow should it be cycled. When should the mollies be put in and taken out. When can the fry be put in my 29g tank. Should the fry tank have gravel. Thanks!

You can cycle the tank by taking some of the filter media from your main tank and putting it in the filter of the fry tank.

As far as gravel goes, it's a personal opinion. If its truly just a fry/grow out tank then I wouldn't add any substrate because it will make the tank harder to clean.
