Does it look like one of the pictures from the above site.If so,keep it,good at cleanup.

If not it is probably a spaghetti worm.

sorry! cant get a picture. also my ghost shrimp gave birth today but there are way more larva then they were eggs... should i also worry that some are parasites???

Id stop worrying.. if you think the white stringy thing is bad, simply take it out.. and your ghost shrimp are more than likely fine..
