i think that i am getting somewhere

no3-40
no2-3.0
kh-300
ph 7.8 or 8.4 (someone should make these colors completely different)can't tell
amonia 8.0

it should be starting to go back down now?

It's looking good.

With the production of nitrate, you will notice that your ammonia and nitrite levels will begin to fall now.

Don't worry about your pH during mid-cycle. Doesn't matter much anway.

Is it me or isn't it quite high & toxic for Nitrite to be @ 3 ppm? My Red Sea test kit only goes up to 1 ppm. Ammonia @ 8 ppm?
Shouldn't he do a 50% water change?

it is the saltwater reading
i have only had the tank up now for like 1 week
live sand and rock was added friday more rock was also added tuesday the amonia has seemed to jump pretty quick
maybe cycle will be done about another week or two?

I did water 50% water changes every day until my ammonia and nitrite levels dropped to zero. My tank cycled in a week as well. Can I attribute the fast cycle to my overzealous water changes. Dunno?? I do think that I kept more stuff alive by changing out the water like this though...

ok today i am at

no3 - 40 dropped a little it was 80 sunday
no2 - 10.0
kh - 180
ph - 8.4
amonia - 0
calcium - 420
specific gravity - 1.024

is my specific grvity ok should be 1.021-1.024 right
calcium should be 400 to 450 right

i think that i am on the right track
amonia spiked and dropped pretty quick but nitrites and nitrates seem to be at stand still i'll check again in couple days see if it changes more probably will
